The smallest of the islands. Inisheer really is tiny, yet it's home to countless of these famous stone walls. With no major archaeological sites or tourist infrastructure, Inisheer has remained unspoiled. O'Brien's Castle, dating from the 14thcentury , can be seen here. Inside the surrounding wall is a4th-century Celtic fort, Dun Formna. We'll also visit the12th-century church of St. Kevin, regularly cleared of sand from the shell-filled dunes. The small museum, in its precarious state, provides some documentation on island life. Finally, if you take the Inisheer Way, you'll set off on an unforgettable 15 km hike.
