Kilfenora is a typical small village of the region, with just over 100 inhabitants, located in the southern part of the Burren. It is best known for its St. Fachanan's Cathedral, which dates from the 12th century and houses three bishops' tombstones (dating from the 13th and 14th centuries). Kilfenora is also famous for its traditional music group, the Kilfenora Céilí Band, and its former school, now transformed into a small discovery center dedicated to the region (The Burren Centre). You can enjoy traditional music sessions at Vaughan's pub if you are in the area
