The cliffs of Moher are part of these inescapable sites, which are so crowded by tourists that they would be tempted to avoid but which even more regret have been neglected. That said, the cliffs remain accessible even after the closure of the visiting centre, at 19 p. m., and nothing stops coming to contemplate the sunset at a time when tourist coaches have returned… With these raw and savage cliffs, which extend over 8 km and some of which reach more than 200 m, nature has shown such greatness. it would be unfortunate if we did not experience it. The cliffs offer stunning views. The Aran Islands and Connemara Mountains can be seen in beautiful weather.Access to the cliffs is made from Visitor's Centre, a symbol of tourist banalisation (parking costs € 8). There is a path to the highest point of the cliffs and the O'Brien Tower. Although the site is extremely visited, many people stop at the sight of the first cliff that already provides strong sensations and promises beautiful photographs.The marchers will therefore quietly pursue their journey to the tip of the cliffs. On the way, we have a constantly changing perspective on these torn cliffs where we see quantity of birds that built their nests in the ravines. Ornithology fans will feel like taking their binoculars to watch them closely! The walk on these cliffs is really exhilarating. It is not recommended to go with children on this more savage part of the cliffs, because the trail is in relatively narrow places and would give almost dizzy.Other possibilities: contemplate them from the sea. The ports of Doolin and Liscannor organize a boat trip to the cliffs.
