From Dingle, the road to Caherconree is truly superb, lined with monuments dating back to Ireland's earliest occupants. You will see Inch beach, a 6 km long beach of fine sand. In Caherconree, the panorama becomes splendid as one overlooks Dingle Bay, Castlemaine, the estuaries of the Laugh and Caragh Rivers and Lake Caragh. If you turn north, you will see Tralee, Brandon Bay and the Magharees Peninsula (you can visit the Curor Mac Dain Fort perched on top of Mount Caherconree). Then, if you feel like it, continue towards Scotia's Grave: beautiful panorama of Tralee and its bay, Castlemaine; you can even see Killarney in good weather.
