From Dingle, the road to Caherconree is truly superb, dotted with monuments dating back to Ireland's earliest occupants. You'll catch a glimpse of Inch Beach, a beautiful 6 km-long sandy beach. At Caherconree, the panorama becomes splendid, overlooking Dingle Bay, Castlemaine, the estuaries of the rivers Laugh and Caragh and Lake Caragh. If you turn north, you'll see Tralee, Brandon Bay and the Magharees peninsula (where you can visit the fort of Curor Mac Dain, perched on the summit of Mount Caherconree). Then, if you feel like it, continue on to Scotia's Grave and Castlemaine.
