Auronzo di Cadore (850 m) is one of the most interesting tourist destinations where to spend a holiday, mainly in summer as the town is situated at the foot of Lake St. Catherine with its beautiful green water reflections, where there is a nautical base with pedal boats. It is dominated by the Tre Cime de Lavaredo Mountains. Not far from Auronzo, continuing along the valley towards Monte Cristallo, in Misurina there is the eponymous lake, the largest natural lake in Cadore. Located at 1,754 m above sea level, it has a perimeter of 2.6 km and a depth of 5 m, frozen from November to May. In summer, hikers can take advantage of the many lake trails.
