The Giau pass rises to 2,236 m, between the valleys of Cortina d'Ampezzo and Selva di Cadore, a village connected to the ski area of Mount Civetta. This road is the access to the Croda da Lago, a peak embellished by a beautiful lake, the object of a hike in summer or skiing in winter. There are a few hotels-restaurants for those who would like to surprise a sunset on the mountains. Access is complicated in winter with driving exclusively on snow! The ideal spot for lovers of snowshoe walks and wilderness panorama because here few tourists venture there unless they want to get lost on purpose. It is not uncommon to come across deer.
