This pastel-coloured village is unspoilt and quiet, but is lively during the seasonal festivals and has been selected as a village of "gastronomy, culture and tourism". Former estate of the Bishops of the Canary Islands, it preserves in its church of San Sebastián sculptures from the 17th and 18th centuries, some of which are the work of Luján Pérez. The pedestrian alleys dotted with sculptures such as camels and musicians invite you to relax and restaurants and bars all have pretty paintings on their front walls. With beautiful guesthouses and away from mass tourism, it is an ideal starting point to visit the island.
