Facing the Roque de Bentayga, it enjoys a superb panorama with its road winding through beautiful scenery. With its atypical little streets and its pretty church, it too deserves a walk. It is the first and so far the only village in the Canary Islands to be part of the club of the prettiest villages in Spain. At 7 km and 1,494 m in height, the Tejeda Cross marks the meeting point of the roads that rise from all the coasts of the island and the beginning of many hikes along the royal paths. 8 km west the road ends at Pinar de Tamadaba, the most beautiful forest of the island on a plateau overlooking the north coast.
