This village, remarkable for its church perched on a high hill, is visible from a large part of the Val de Villé. It owes its origin to a convent built at the end of the 7th century by Saint Hydulphe, founding abbot of the abbey of Moyenmoutier. During the passage of the Swedes in 1632, many houses were destroyed and a good part of the population was decimated or found refuge in the fortified villages of the plain. The Swedish House, built in 1571, was spared and is now one of the oldest houses in the valley. Don't miss the altar of the Altkolster from 1721.
