The pretty Provencal village of Cruis, classified as a Villages and Cities of Character, enjoys a typical Haute-Provence landscape, at an altitude of over 700 m and at the foot of the Lure mountain, classified as a biosphere reserve by Unesco. Also endowed with a remarkable architectural heritage, the site of the municipality includes some remarkable monuments, including the parish church Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Martin, which is the former church of an abbey of Augustinian monks. It preserves some arcades of the cloister, dating from the end of the XIIIth century. Finally, the village of Cruis is only 20 minutes by car from the towns of Forcalquier and Sisteron.
