The Municipal Archives have among their treasures two municipal cartographs:
the Town Cartulaire or White Book (12th-16th centuries) and the Aldermen's Register or Red Book (13th-16th centuries).
These exceptional registers bear witness to a period in which the aldermen's power was strongly expressed. When compared with other documents, they shed an incomparable light on aldermen's justice, the places where it was exercised, etc...
