Chaumont-en-Véxin is a city tour to nearby Ile-de-France, but it is well in the Oise. It is illustrated by a rich geological history of approximately million years, as evidenced by the abundant fossils collected by the archaeologist Raymond Pillon. Chaumont interpelle the visitor by his church like a cathedral, toisant the roofs of the surrounding area. This Saint-Jean-Baptiste Neo-Gothic Church dates back to the first half of the th century. It was built at the location of an old chapel. It is prepared in the Latin cross with salient transept. Inside, there is a stained glass window dating back to 1545. The th century castle was composed of a dungeon and no fewer than ten towers. Nowadays, there is only a ruin of the towers. The communal services are found in the former Couvent convent, built in 1637 by the Duchess of Longueville. You will have a look at the Raymond Pillon museum.
