Situated on the plateau overlooking the Réveillon, south of Chaumont, Boubiers boasts a number of characterful houses, the remains of an ancient 16th-century manor house and a beautiful church, Saint-Leu, listed as a Monument Historique. Its beautiful octagonal bell tower dates back to the 12th century. Also worth a look is the Saint-Leu fountain, whose waters were once said to cure fear. Don't miss the strange graffiti engraved on the walls by pilgrims in days gone by. Nearby, in the hamlet of Fayel, you'll find "La Pierre Fritte", a good-sized menhir: 1.40 metres high and 3.16 metres long.
