A small town of 1 200 inhabitants at the gates of Ile de France (the telephone number of the inhabitants starts with a "01" unlike those in the rest of the department). The year in Chambly is marked by a feast of cider, at the time of the harvest of apples and especially by the celebrations of Bois Hourdy. This feast, with pagan origins, attracts thousands of visitors to bold Tuesday and the first Sunday of Lent. For more information, see the "Festivals and Events" chapter at the beginning of the guide.
