According to tradition and according to a former document, King Saint Louis would be the founder of the church Notre-Dame de Chambly. Most of this Gothic building dates back to the th century; the choir, the nave, the facade, the small chapel of the Holy Virgin and the th century tower. The nave contains a beautifully sculpted Louis XIV chair. Four turning points, part of an immense polyptyque of antwerp or brabançonne origin, attract many visitors. These components represent St. Gregory's Mass, the Supper, the Judas de Judas, Ecce Homo, the Garden of Olive Trees, Pentecost and Resurrection.

THE MILLS

Monuments to visit

In the th century, seven mills were re-operating thanks to the current of Esches: the mill du Mesnil-Saint-Martin, the mill of Saint-Aubin, the mill of Vigneseuil, the mill of Mennecourt, the mill mill, the mill of Bassault and the mill Neuf. The mill of the hamlet of Mesnil-Saint-Martin, upstream of Chambly, on the edge of the Esches was built in 1640. Over the centuries, he had various owners. Today, this mill, says Deligne, is a prosperous society employing 43 people and produces more than 2 000 quintals of flour per day. The Moulin Deligne is the only one still existing today in Chambly.
