In this village everything revolves around its magna ecclesia, its large and beautiful Romanesque church which will establish the authority of the local lords, companions of William the Conqueror, who, it is said, enjoyed rewards from the new King of England and built both their lineage and monuments dedicated to God. This is the case of the Saint-Germain church, built on a hill that surmounts the village's small steep valley. But, like many of the towns in the territory, who says lords means lordly dwellings. In Manéglise, there are still the estates of Herbouville and Les Hellandes. On the first one there is only a flint mansion and a dovecote without a roof. On the second, the current castle, built in 1904, is a large villa of no historical interest. Nevertheless, two hiking trails are particularly pleasant to follow: the Heritage trail, which will introduce you to local Norman legends, and the Branmaze trail (9.5 km, 2.30 hours).
