The Bec is again a Scandinavian name meaning the stream, referring undoubtedly to the river La Lézarde which bathes this village which belonged to the Crespin family from the 13th century. A leper colony had been installed there but only the 16th century Notre-Dame church remains today, whose north wall has exposed stone bays that contrast with the red brick used as often in the region. Hikers can follow the circuit of Les Vallons (14.3 km, 3h45) which starts in Mannevillette and passes through the gentle village of Notre-Dame-du-Bec.
