Can we find a municipality whose name is as evocative of local history as Angerville-l'Orcher? A Gallo-Roman rural estate, with its Scandinavian owner's name prefixed, Asgeir from the 11th century, it was the Crespin d'Orcher family who inherited the land of Angerville, a family that also owned the Gonfreville fortress, and linked to the Crespin du Bec family. The imposing Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption church and the beautiful presbytery testify to this. This one, installed in a 15th century manor house with a stone base and half-timbered walls, has now become the town hall of the town.
