The city is located along the St. Lawrence River, a 5.8 km long tributary of La Lézarde. Brèvedent also means the beaver river. Located in a small valley, the church, the town hall, the school, the station, the water collection station (created in 1854), the houses, all protected by the woods, give the place an air of peace and tranquility. However, the railway line that links Le Havre to Paris runs along the city for 3 km, and rhythms, like a rather peculiar metronome, the life of the inhabitants of its passages. No less than 6 rail bridges have been built in the municipality. Not far from the St. Lawrence Church, whose bell tower is in Romanesque style, one of these passages leads to the 1.2 km-long Sittelle Trail, where you can observe these pretty birds with grey and orange feathers.
