When you read a map of the Pointe du Pays de Caux, you are not mistaken: Gainneville is placed on a very straight track, now called D6015 whose initial designers were none other than the Gallo-Romans. In fact, Gainneville, a town created in the 12th century, is located on the road that linked Juliobona (Lillebonne) to Caracotinum (Harfleur). The modern city has developed far from its historic heart, St. Peter's Church, whose choir dates back to the 13th century, while the rest of the building was redesigned in the 16th century. There are tombstones of a local family, the Dubocage de Bléville. The Marettes au Belvédère hiking trail begins here (9.5 km, 2 hours).
