Entzheim is well known for its airport, but it also has a strong historical past: the existence of Entzheim is already mentioned in 736, under the reign of Pepin the Short! Its heritage includes the church, whose bell tower dates back to the 12th century, the nave to 1810, and the Stiehr organ dating from 1811. The former coaching inn, created by deed on July 15, 1774, now houses a restaurant. It was the first stop on the route from Strasbourg to Belfort via Sélestat and Colmar. Competing with the railroads, the Entzheim coaching inn gradually ceased its postal activities from 1854 onwards.
