Founded in 1857, the artisanal oil mill in Blot-l'Eglise is a must for those wishing to discover the milling trade. Bernard Bouleau took over the mill in 1997. The visit allows you to (re) discover the astonishing flavors of yesteryear through fine virgin oils. Walnut, of course, but also rapeseed, hazelnut, almond, pistachio, sesame, peanut, carnation, pumpkin seed, camelina... In addition to these original ranges, there are a number of home-made products: pasta, Rocher de Blot cakes, Pouzzolanes des Volcans sweets, vinegars, honeys and jams...

Martial Ray is a master pastry chef and chocolate maker. His specialties are the cloud of Puy-de-Dôme, a meringue with honey, hazelnuts and almonds, homemade marshmallows and fruit jellies. He also makes a whole range of chocolate sweets, including the Andésite, with 75% dark chocolate and old-fashioned hazelnut praline, rolled in bitter cocoa. Delicious desserts will leave you with unforgettable memories, such as the Ebène with dark chocolate, praline and hazelnut crunch. In Le Cendre, the store has a laboratory and a tea room.

Bleu de Laqueuille, salers, cantal, saint-nectaire, gaperon... Auvergne cheeses are numerous here, but they are not alone! Specialized in blue-veined cheese, the dairy is the second largest manufacturer of Fourme d'Ambert and the third largest of Bleu d'Auvergne. Most of its production is made from pasteurized cow's milk, with specific ranges such as Bleu de Laqueuille, La Mémée, Bleu des Causses, etc. The company makes raw milk cheeses in a separate production facility. In constant evolution, La Mémée now has a commercial website.

It all began in 1885. It's a rich and intense history that of the honey house, still run by the same family! Today, Elizabeth, a certified organic beekeeper, looks after the 250 hives with her son Johann, using ancestral know-how. She produces honeys, cosmetics, candles, sweets, syrups... As she only uses honeys from her own harvest, not all honeys and products are available every year, with some harvests only taking place every 3 years, depending on the vagaries of the weather.

The pear is good, of course, as are apples, salads, grapes and all the fresh fruit and vegetables sold here. Laurence and Alexandre's grocery store is a real local spot, dedicated to organic and bulk produce right in the historic heart of Chamalières. They are committed to a genuine ecological and environmental approach, offering local products whenever possible. You'll find fresh produce, fruit, vegetables, savoury and sweet groceries. People with food allergies are also catered for. To support this approach, the grocery store is part of the Biomonde network, a cooperative group of independent organic stores.

Philippe Compte and his wife Alexia have turned the place into a cavern of Ali Baba and a temple to gourmands. Pastries, macaroons, chocolates and ice creams are all revisited to discover new flavors. The pastries and confections are to die for, and Philippe was voted one of France's 100 best chocolatiers. With a passion for cooking, Nicolas Chevalier has launched his own business as a traveling caterer. He offers only homemade dishes. Fresh produce is cooked to perfection. Menus (pot au feu, truffade, turkey aiguillettes à la tomate...), charcuterie platters, cheese platters, buffets, sandwiches (for lunch)... The principle is simple: you place your order and pick it up at his place, or at one of the collection points. Every day, Nicolas sets up a meeting in a different town. The Boucherie Gauthier takes place in the well named street of the Butchery since 1994! The house is known and appreciated by the Clermontois. Expect sometimes a long queue. Founded in the ^mid-19th century, Distillerie Génestine will rise from the ashes in 2021 thanks to Sébastien Jolivet. Its flagship product is a reinterpretation of the liqueur Le Gaulois. Now an Italian-style vintage vermouth in the ^21st century, it is accompanied by a new range of spirits: a jet 31 with organic peppermint, a limoncello with the taste of lemon leaves, a pastis with gentian, not forgetting 1845 Elixir, made from 80 plants and spices. The bottles proudly bear the figure of Vercingétorix, as imagined by Auguste Bartholdi.

L'Eau vive is well known by natural products lovers. Large staircase, glass elevator, local products highlighted... it's a nice place to find everything organic for everyday life. At the reception of the store, Pauline and her team offer fine chocolates, classic or more original ganaches, pastries, traditional fruit jellies, homemade sweets (special mention for the Carré'ment Bon with praline and chocolate) that will make you crack and delight your palate! Everything changed in 2023: Amaya, the founder, decided to hand over the running of the business to Camille and Delphine. They continue to develop infusions based on organic and local plants. The ranges are simple: pure plants or blends, classified by virtue (soothing, digestive, tonic, skin beauty...). Nothing goes to waste: the powder from the cuttings is used in solid cosmetics. Gone are the days of the Volvic store; today, their products can be purchased from a number of retailers or online during short sales.

Created in 1997, the integration enterprise Biau Jardin produces organic products on an area of 17 hectares. The offer is complete: seasonal vegetables and fruit, organic eggs, bread, fair trade products, natural health and beauty products and delicatessen. Everything is offered at the shop, which also accepts the doume, the local currency. Biau Jardin offers weekly baskets filled with seasonal vegetables and fruit, with a subscription system. The Maison Desprat Saint-Verny boutique is a privileged space to meet with the wine. The cellar welcomes the customers on more than 200 m². Many references are to be discovered among the most beautiful bottles of the best wine estates. The house sells wines from vineyards cultivated on volcanic soil, labelled AOC Côtes d'Auvergne or IGP Puy-de-Dôme, including some exceptional wines. The space also features spirits and beers. A delicatessen corner allows you to finish your shopping on a gourmet note.

The cellar is located on the same street as Delirium Café, a must for beer lovers. The shelves display hundreds of varieties: local, Belgian, English, New Zealand, North American... The house also rents beer taps. L'Empire du Malt is a wholesaler with more than 500 references of French and international beers, 40 references of kegs, and is a partner of the Grizzly microbrewery and the Le Brew pub, neighbors of the Brézet store. The Praluline, the gourmet treasure of the Pralus House, is a success! This brioche with pink praline chips is very popular. Invented in Roanne by Auguste Pralus in 1955, this little delicacy can be bought on rue Blatin. Its success sometimes requires patience, as it is so much in demand. The shop also sells pink praline slivers in jars and delicious chocolates created by the master chocolatier François Pralus, who also makes a chocolate version of his brioche, even if it must be said that the praline version, with its secret recipe, is unequalled!

Fabrice Renier's establishment offers home-made cookies revisited with a local touch: the Tuilière (plain, raspberry or blueberry), the Sancy lava (crispy almonds), the égravats (caramelized almonds wrapped in chocolate). Not forgetting the chocolate postcard, which represents the Sancy and will make a very original gift! In the summer, you will be seduced by the original artisanal ice creams (Saint-Nectaire flavor, birlou...), in the winter, you will not miss the tasty madeleines with blueberry. L'Atelier gourmand d'Eric Martins is an institution. Located in Orcines, his macaroons are delicious, as are his meringues, tarts and verrines, not to mention his cupcakes, wedding cakes and cookies, each more surprising than the last. The artisan chef takes a new approach to classic pastries, with boldness and brio. He plays with flavors: Auvergne blue pear macaroons or fig foie gras. His wedding cakes are original and impressive. Chocolate and macaroons in the Auvergne style, this is how we can describe the products of the house created by Claude and Elisabeth Déat. For Easter and the holidays, the Chamalières store, as well as those in the metropolis, are always full. The chocolates are made from Grands Crus Pure Plantation cocoa. Every Saturday morning, one of the largest weekly markets in the Puy-de-Dôme is held. It is animated by a hundred traders and producers. On the stalls, you can find fresh, quality products, in short circuit (fruits, vegetables, fish, delicatessen, honeys...), but also clothes and trinkets of all kinds. Founded in 1991 by Limagrain, the Domaine de Limagne is responsible for all the stages, from production to sales. Jean-Fançois Panem, a former breeder, bought the company and runs it with a master's hand. The products come from ducks raised and processed on site. The products are fresh and of high quality: foie gras, confit, duck breast, stuffed neck, terrine... In spite of modern processing techniques, the breeding remains built on a traditional, peasant and artisanal model. The Domaine even offers its products delivered in D + 1, thanks to two slaughters per week.

From the top of their medieval tower, Nelly and Pierre Choffrut carefully guard their hectares of garlic, onions and shallots. This tea room, imagined by Eliane Bourdet, opened in 2004, is articulated on two levels. Three hundred varieties of tea are on sale, as well as a beautiful collection of dishes, utensils, furniture and decorative objects. Different areas to sit comfortably make us travel through Asia, through India, China or Japan. We enjoy a cup of tea, infusion or coffee, accompanied by a "homemade" pastry. The long window lets light filter through, giving the place a subdued atmosphere and a feeling of intimacy.

This attractive ^mid-19th century château was built by the Teyras de Grandval family to take advantage of the exceptional view of the Chaîne des Puys. A century and a half later, the Vincent family, well-known caterers in Vichy, took over the premises to host weddings, business events, cocktails and ceremonies. It has to be said that this is an ideal location. There's a solution for every budget. A number of simply furnished rooms in the château and its outbuildings can accommodate guests after the party.

At the beginning of 2019, the Art Nouveau boutique of Boulangerie Moderne reopened its doors thanks to Ophélie Maillot and Maxime Boishardy. She studied management, he is a baker: the duo is a perfect match! From baguettes to sandwiches, including seasonal recipes, from croissants to fruit tarts, everything is homemade, with responsible flours and AOP butter. Originally from Brittany, Maxime offers kouign-amann on his menu. Everything can be taken away in a bag or a reusable box, in order to limit the environmental impact.
