Jean and Jeremy run a store dedicated to 100% ethical products for the aperitif. Their commitment: to offer quality products, to favor organic, reasoned, local or at least French products. You can buy peanuts in bulk, spreads, chips from Aveyron, lemonades from Vercors... but also wines, beers and spirits. The two companions propose trays to compose with cheeses, delicatessen, dried fruits and chips, nicely presented in big spruce boxes made for them by a craftsman of the Jura.

The cheese shop is a reference in downtown. Kindness, discretion and sound advice are their watchwords! Let yourself be surprised by the cheeses selected by Olivier the owner, valuing the maturing, the farm products and the raw milk. Don't hesitate to compose your own cheese platter. The place also has a rich wine cellar with affordable prices. Taste on the spot a platter of about ten cheeses, accompanied by fresh or dried fruits and small vegetables to crunch: the ideal to share a beautiful moment between friends.

In this authentic bakery, bread and pastries are baked on site, over a wood fire. Their incomparable taste appeals to top restaurateurs. Behind the small shop window you'll find traditional baguettes, farmhouse breads, viennoiseries and other desserts, such as the lemon meringue éclair. We recommend the organic Chadrat flour bread, the rye bread or the "tordu", on sale at the end of the day. Sylvie is always ready to welcome you with a smile. The bakery has also opened in Royat. During the festive season, it's best to order in advance.

The large window opening onto the street is a real eye-catcher. Behind it are breads, cakes and pastries. The long line that regularly snakes around the front is worthy of all the gastronomic reviews. The opening of the outlet is a renaissance and an opportunity for the bakery to develop its own creations, such as petit paillasse with wild garlic, or bread made with sourdough and organic (low-gluten) petit épeautre flour. Upstairs is a pastry-making laboratory, which now takes pride of place among the artisan breads.

If the diversity of local products found there (honey, sausage, lentils, eggs, craft beer, etc.) could allow us to qualify this cheese shop as a grocery store, it is indeed the cheese that is at the centre of attention and for good reason. Lizette has been working with cheese since she was 16 years old and she knows her stuff. Her advice is accurate and valuable, her explanations are clear and she never hesitates to offer a little tasting. Her good humour is a pleasure to see and her cheeses, coming directly from local producers, are delicious.

During the summer of 2022, the unmissable Salaisons du Sancy was taken over by Michael Vaufrey. Coming from a family of pork butchers and a professional in the retail sector, he has completely redesigned and expanded the store. There is a grocery section, home-made charcuterie offered by the pork butcher Pascal Tournadre, ready-made meals, a special wine, beer and liquor section. The faithful customers can be reassured, the salting remains the main activity and the quality is always present. Tastings and open days will be organized.

A pioneer of artisanal distillation in the Puy-de-Dôme, the distillery was opened in 2021 in Brassac-les-Mines. Quentin, a Clermont-Ferrand native and distilling oenologist, decided to return to Auvergne after years of apprenticeship in Cognac. He works with local and French products (volcano water, whisky barley...) to create unique, high-quality spirits. No flavoring or sugar is added. The range of spirits is regularly enriched: whisky, gin, rum... The distillery's products can be found in restaurants, wine shops and online.

Louis Ambrosio, a former apprentice of Pierre Nury, took over the reins of Fournil 1869 a few years ago, with the help of his partner Adeline. People always come from far and wide to buy their baguette here! Let yourself be tempted by authentic bread made the old-fashioned way, with the pronounced taste, texture and appearance of the bread of yesteryear. Here, bread comes in all shapes and flavors: Tradition, Mon Blé, Combraille au levain... Other specialties include Chazeron, a delicious caramelized hazelnut cake.

Cruzilles perpetuates the tradition of Auvergne's master confectioners in the production of its fruit jellies and candied fruits. Since 1880, the confectionery has cultivated a unique savoir-faire, with a strong emphasis on natural, preservative-free products, with a few organic references. Innovation is as present as tradition, notably with Dés Lisses®, born of the desire to offer a less sweet product to leave more room for fruit. With this novelty, the company is evolving with the times and bringing confectionery up to date.

At the foot of the Puy de Dôme, you'll find an area dedicated to the region's products, with large stalls of Auvergne cheeses, as well as a vast selection of wines, beers, spirits, confectionery, cured meats, crafts, books... Saint-nectaire is matured on site in the cellar (AOP Auvergne cheese). Charcuterie and cheese platters are also available to order. Ample parking and prices no higher than those charged by supermarkets make this a stopover of choice.

Welcome to the temple of Auvergne products! This vast store gathers in one place cheeses, delicatessen, fruits and vegetables, drinks, delicatessen... Everything is made in Auvergne. Marc, a butcher by profession, wanted to bring together the producers and the best products of the region. He makes it a point of honor to communicate on their origin and the practices of the producers. La Ferme auvergnate cooks charcuterie, terrines and homemade specialties, based on pork from Combrailles. It also prepares gourmet baskets to offer.

It was in 2016 that Laurent Dartère, who runs the grocery store in Saint-Donat, had the idea to create the Gentiane de l'Abbaye. This local artisanal liqueur has been a great success. Since then, other liqueurs have been created, all made from local products: the blueberry-chestnut liqueur or the "potion du bougnat", a mixture of fresh verbena, fresh lemon mint and fresh gentian roots. Of course, the producer is present every year in Picherande on the occasion of the great European Gentian Festival.

The Giraudon family has had agriculture in its blood for 4 generations. They work the land in Vertaizon, but it is in Clermont-Ferrand, not far from the Place de Jaude, that they have decided to open their shop. In their store, you can find of course their productions of tasty vegetables and fruits, among which their strawberries grown in the open ground or their asparagus. The place also gives pride of place to products from the Massif Central or the Rhone Valley: P'A Cantal sausages, tomatoes from the Bouches du Rhone, 100% Auvergne Mozzarella... Something to enjoy!

Fanfan is Françoise, wife of sweet wizard Emmanuel Bonnabaud, who kindly welcomes you to this paradise for sweet tooths. Barley sugars, lollipops and marshmallows, of course, but also pastries, old-fashioned breads and handmade chocolate: everything here is homemade with fresh, local produce (the rhubarb comes from Emmanuel's father's garden). The patisserie's star product: the mojito version of the baba au rhum, a true delight. And it's impossible to resist the homemade marshmallow bear! A must for all gourmets.

It is in the commercial center of La Rotonde that we find the Intermarché store of Ceyrat. If from the outside the building looks different, while integrating well in the environment, inside it is pleasant, spacious and clear. Brice Meunier, director of the supermarket, makes it a point of honor to work with local producers. In the shelves, customers will find many products from Auvergne. The products, chosen with care, are of high quality and the flavors are perfect. Real craftsmen are in charge of the fresh produce departments.

The Canards d'Agathe farm is actually a fattened duck farm run by Catherine and Jean-Pascal. The ducks are raised in the open air, force-fed in collective pens with GMO-free whole-grain corn. Preserves are then prepared on site in a workshop that meets European standards. The farm is open to visitors, especially in summer. It's a great way to discover our homemade foies gras: cooked and semi-cooked foie gras, rillettes and grattons... You can also sample our products on the farmhouse menu.

Opened at the beginning of the last century, then held by the Dugast family from 1966, the butcher shop changed ownership in 2018. Marc Filliat, Didier Dugast's successor, is one of the co-founders of the Ferme Auvergnate in Mozac. A butcher by trade, he returned to Chamalières, where he started, and wants to perpetuate the reputation of this institution. Local producers and quality products are at the rendezvous. Catered dishes and specialties in jars are also sold. The butcher's shop offers services such as advance preparation of orders.

It's not always easy to choose a bottle of wine, whether for yourself, for a dinner party or as a gift. Here, Corinne and Thierry Crépin, wine merchants, offer a smiling welcome and invaluable advice. The selection includes wines produced by independent French winegrowers. Loire, Côtes d'Auvergne, Côtes de Bordeaux, Languedoc: quality and flavor are the order of the day. Tastings are organized on a regular basis. The boutique is enhanced by a selection of spirits, as well as a delicatessen corner where you can put together an entire aperitif.
