The two companions propose trays to compose with cheeses, delicatessen, dried fruits and chips, nicely presented in big spruce boxes made for them by a craftsman of the Jura.

During the summer of 2022, the unmissable Salaisons du Sancy was taken over by Michael Vaufrey. Coming from a family of pork butchers and a professional in the retail sector, he has completely redesigned and expanded the store. There is a grocery section, home-made charcuterie offered by the pork butcher Pascal Tournadre, ready-made meals, a special wine, beer and liquor section. The faithful customers can be reassured, the salting remains the main activity and the quality is always present. Tastings and open days will be organized.

Welcome to the temple of Auvergne products! This vast store gathers in one place cheeses, delicatessen, fruits and vegetables, drinks, delicatessen... Everything is made in Auvergne. Marc, a butcher by profession, wanted to bring together the producers and the best products of the region. He makes it a point of honor to communicate on their origin and the practices of the producers. La Ferme auvergnate cooks charcuterie, terrines and homemade specialties, based on pork from Combrailles. It also prepares gourmet baskets to offer.

Looking for good wine and good advice? Head for Grand Passage Blatin! You'll find a wide selection of wines from all regions of France and beyond, spirits and liqueurs from Auvergne and the Loire, Champagnes and more. Among the bottles, you'll also find delicatessen products such as spreads, bottles of olive oil and Haute-Loire sausages. On the last Fridays and Saturdays of the month, from 3pm to 7pm, the establishment offers a tasting session.

Since 1998, Stéphanie Falgoux has been helping visitors discover the delights of the region. Cheeses, delicatessen, tripoux, beers, wines and aperitifs, including the famous Gentian, and sweet pleasures: fruit jellies, honeys, jams... Everything has been tested before being selected. On the website, promotions are frequently offered: a good plan to discover the multitude of products.

You knew the Bienvenue à la ferme network? Here is the store of farm and local products in short circuit. The concept is the same: to put forward the local producers by proposing this time their harvests and productions. In the store, pleasantly arranged, we find different stalls. The corner of the local fruits and vegetables, the one of the butchery, the one of the cheese factory or the one of the bulk. How does it work? The local producers set their prices and deliver directly to the store. Thus, the prices displayed for the consumer are accessible. And as nothing is lost, any unsold goods that may remain are given to the Red Cross.

Created in 2015, this 70 m² store today brings together the fruits of the labor of some thirty producers from Livradois-Forez and the surrounding area. The variety of its stalls makes Le Local a veritable mini-market, with the advantage of bringing together local products for direct sale: cheeses and vegetables, eggs, dairy products, meat and fish, honeys, jams, spirits... Some of them are organically grown, and all follow a charter ensuring good practice and transparency. Exhibitions, workshops and tastings are organized on a regular basis.

Both a tea room and a delicatessen, Olivier Vandenberghe's establishment lives up to its name. Here, time seems to have stopped and the warm woodwork invites you to take a gourmet break. The products are local, some of them even made in the village, such as the beer of Saint-Babel. Others are made a few kilometers away, such as the cookies from the Atelier Auvergnat. Or many essential oils. He also practices the chantournage in front of you, the manufacture of wooden objects. To perfect the local side, the store even accepts payment in doume!

From flavored aperitif (gentian, chestnut, verbena...) to sweets (crunchy, fruit jellies...), you will discover the flavors of hams, aligots, tripoux, pottage and cheeses from Auvergne (the 5 farm PDO: saint-nectaire, cantal, salers, bleu d'Auvergne, fourme d'Ambert). You will find the products of more than fifty producers. You can also enjoy these products at the Baladins, the restaurant located just opposite, run by Laetitia and Julien. The house organizes tastings for groups and makes "musettes garnies".

On the second floor of a blond stone house typical of Montpeyroux, you'll find a multi-faceted place. It's both a delicatessen with typical Auvergne products: local beer, jams, honey, fruit jellies, walnut oil, etc., and a brocante-deco store featuring artists' works. Extend your visit with an Italian ice cream or a platter of Auvergne cheeses and charcuterie on the terrace: it offers a magnificent view of the church and the Val d'Allier.

Amélie Voisin and Thierry Faure designed a spacious shop more than 10 years ago to house their delicatessen. With a wine and whisky cellar, a wide choice of traditional and unusual products, everyone leaves with something to eat. In addition to being good, the selected products are beautiful and have a neat design. As the owners like to share their finds, they regularly organise product tastings. The shop is modern, and you'll even find kitchen utensils and decorative objects.

Since 1950, ancestral know-how has been passed down through the generations. The only secret: homemade! Sausage and ham are matured in the ashes. The cured meats also catch the eye and the nose. The great classics of pure pork, donkey and duck mingle with blue cheese, blueberries and hazelnuts. The house also dons the catering apron. On the butcher's side, Auvergne remains at the heart of the establishment's work. Creamery products, Auvergne wines, a delicatessen and a bread depot complete the Auvergne-colored offer.

Alcohol-free beer, alcohol-free wine, spirits such as whisky, amaretto, always alcohol-free... the selection offered by Manuel and Florence de Macedo is varied and can be used for aperitifs, meals, evenings and digestifs. In total, more than 400 items from over 50 local producers. Behind this proposal promoting short circuits is the association Loub'Epice. The eponymous grocery store is held and managed solely by volunteers. It is open to everyone, whether you are a member or not.
