This family vineyard of 12 ha is spread over five communes: Andlau, Blienschwiller, Dambach-la-Ville, Eichhoffen and Epfig. The Domaine Moritz is spread over exceptional terroirs: Grands Crus Kastelberg, Moenchberg, Wiebelsberg and Winsenberg. As well as on the so-called Rebbuhl for the Riesling and Fronholz for the Gewurztraminer. If the seven Alsatian grape varieties are vinified on the estate, Riesling is king here, with 50% of the vines. Certified High Environmental Value (HVE), Domaine Moritz produces wines of very beautiful expression: pinot noir Barrique 2015 (from old vines), Riesling Grand Cru Kastelberg 2015, Crémant d'Alsace Émotion (pinot blanc and pinot gris). Given the quality of these wines, prices remain reasonable. If you wish to stay in this beautiful corner of Alsace, the Moritz's have a beautiful gîte (85 ^m2), the Maison de Tilda et Rose, in Blienschwiller. It is a beautifully furnished ecological architect's house (made of wood) with a terrace and a hanging garden and can comfortably accommodate four/five people.

The history of Domaine Durrmann began in 1978 when Anna and André moved here. The two spouses quickly embarked on viticulture, transforming their nascent estate into a wine-growing farm into a mixed farming business. With the help of their son Yann, who will take over the estate after them, they produce a very mineral wine on 10 hectares of vines without adding sulphite or oenological inputs: the vine is not considered as a monoculture but rather as an intrinsic part of an ecosystem. Kastelberg, Wiebelsberg and Moenchberg are among the most famous areas of the estate. And as a bonus, the visit and exchange with the winegrowers promises to be exciting!

Born into a family of winegrowers who delivered their grapes to the cooperative, Julien sees himself as a winegrower-countryman, close to nature, tirelessly pursuing a search for optimal maturity. Today he is at the head of 2 ha spread over 5 locations: it is one of the smallest domains in Alsace by size, but not by quality! Julien produces atypical wines, truly natural, seductive by their airy softness. We particularly appreciate his delicious and racy Riesling Glaser with a delicious lemon nose!

Worthy heirs of a wine-making tradition initiated by their ancestors who came from Austria in the ^16th century, Jean-Marc, Liliane and Stéphane Wantz manage their 11-hectare estate (in the process of being converted to organic farming) with respect for the environment (they are Terra Vitis members) and for the specific characteristics of their terroirs. Their vineyards are mainly located around Mittelbergheim, with notably beautiful parcels on the Grand Cru Zotzenberg which is the only terroir where Sylvaner has been elected to the rank of Grand Cru! Stéphane, Jean-Marc and Liliane's son, is in charge of the vinification of the different vintages of the domain, from the 7 Alsatian grape varieties. The Wantz family is happy to welcome you (preferably by appointment) to reveal the particularities of their excellent wines through 5 ranges rich in tasty discoveries: Les Espiègles (pleasure wines), Les Classiques (AOC Alsace wines), Grands Crus Zotzenberg (sylvaner, riesling, Gewurztraminer), Vendanges Tardives and Sélections de Grains Nobles, and, finally, the Crémant d'Alsace (Brut or Rosé).

Patricia Gerber is the^third generation at the head of this estate founded in 1932 by her grandparents Jeanne and Auguste. She manages her 8.5 ha vineyard with her sons Pierre and Marc who, for the last 4 years, have been blowing a nice wind of naturalness on their vines. Certified HVE, the domain is currently in conversion to organic farming. A wine to taste without hesitation during your visit: the Gewurztraminer Hahnenberg with delicious notes of lychee!

After Gérard Neumeyer and his wife Gabrielle, the next generation has now taken over. Jérôme Neumeyer and Marie Neumeyer-Tonner use their passion for vines to reveal the many facets of the Bruderthal. This grand cru terroir was already described in 1316 for its great winemaking qualities: optimal exposure sheltered from the north winds, very homogeneous marl and limestone soils covering a substratum of Muschelkalk limestone and dolomite. It is planted on sixteen hectares. The Nemeyer family's estate produces rigorously fine wines that give rise to a multitude of emotions. The harvest is manual, the pressing is done on whole fruits and the vinification uses indigenous yeasts. All this is accompanied by controlled temperatures and maturing on fine lees.

A pioneering microbrewery in Alsace, the Uberach brewery now offers a wide range of beers. Malts, hops and yeast are blended with water from the Northern Vosges, and flavored with everything from honey and ginger to woodruff and raspberries. You can also learn about the history of beer and brewing in the Val de Moder with a guided tour of the facilities. A lovely tasting room, under the patronage of Gambrinus, will introduce you to the incredible olfactory and gustatory richness of beers.

The Metz family has been established in Itterswiller for three generations. Since 1996, Gérard Metz's son-in-law, Eric Casimir (of Champagne origin, he makes delicious Crémants d'Alsace) has been running the estate. The estate is located on 15 hectares on the famous wine-growing hillsides of Itterswiller, Epfig, Nothalten and Heiligenstein. Believing that the best grapes come from environmentally friendly viticulture, the estate favours products used in organic farming for foliar treatments. In the winery, the vinification process involves slow fermentation using indigenous yeasts, delicate pressing and maturing on whole lees. For Eric Casimir, the winegrower is like a musician whose notes would be the terroirs, the grape varieties and the climate. He favours dry wines whose beautiful aromatic expression makes them precious friends of gastronomy. It is always very pleasant to settle in the tasting cellar called l'Atelier de chez Metz. Here you can taste in a joyful atmosphere the good vintages of the estate: Riesling Muenchberg, Klevener de Heiligenstein, Pinot Gris Fruehmess, here are beautiful oenological scores that reveal, without any false notes, the harmonic power of the great wines of Alsace!

Led by André Rohrer, the operation is most interesting. This passionate wine grower chose the path of organic culture, following the path by his father who had already introduced the seeding in the vines and removed chemical insecticides. Its 8 ha are divided between Barr, Eichoffen and Mittelbergheim (some of them on the large local cru, in Zotzenberg) in the following manner: " Riesling and cultivated on the municipality of Eichhoffen (sablo-limoneuse formation on undifferentiated marnes, deep silt); an expansive, expansive riesling on the site of Stein (substrate of gray marnes à ou or turbidites to the south of the village of Mittelbergheim); Pinot Noir on the Forst (mainly sandstone in the west of the village) and Pinot gris on the Oberscheuer (limestone-sandstone from deep soil to the east of the village). " The wines of the area are distinguished by their beautiful acidity. Fascinated by his craft, André Rohrer will explain to you, for example, that the Riesling Old Vines does not immediately reveal his fat and fruity fruit, and that if the red of Mittelbergheim shows tanniques and woody flavors, they melt over time. André Rohrer also produces a very interesting Alsace crémant, developed with chardonnay. In addition to being good, wines are traded at reasonable prices!

Twelve years ago, Jérémie took over from his father Romain at the head of this estate (40 ha), part of which is cultivated in Lyre. This method of vineyard management allows a better exposure to the sun. The Domaine Fritsch is well known for its wines from the Grand Cru Steinklotz. The beautiful vintage 2022, in addition to being very qualitative, is also and especially the first organic vintage of the domain. Make an appointment for an exciting commented tasting!

Marie-Claire, Marion and Pierre Borès manage with great delicacy their 10 ha vineyard nestled in a sunny valley ideally protected by the Ungersberg. The tasting cellar is located in the middle of the vineyards. At the moment, you can discover the tasty Riesling Schiefferberg 2020 (2** Guide Hachette des Vins) with seductive aromas of vine peach. Again this year, Dionysus meets Thespis at Domaine Borès with the theater festival "Soirs à pressoirs" organized by the Compagnie des Insupportés.

Nicolas and Florent maintain the flame that animates this domain created by their ancestor Antoine Motz in 1808. They are gradually taking over from their parents Martine and Norbert in the management of this estate, which has been certified organic since 2011. As for the wines, the Motz family offers you the choice between two ranges. One is dedicated to traditional dry Alsace wines (auxerrois, riesling, sylvaner...) or more mellow (gewurztraminer Cuvée Prestige). The other is resolutely natural: wines without_CO2, from maceration (La Colline Libre), natural sparkling (Fût n'En Bulles).

Beer is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages in the world, and certainly the most popular. With its 10,000 years of heritage, Kronenbourg has been able to innovate and become the leader in beer production in France. Part of its product range was labelled Origine France Garantie in 2011.

History. The history of Kronenbourg began in 1664 with a young brewer, Jérôme IV Hatt, who opened the brewery Le Canon in the heart of Strasbourg. In 1850, faced with the frequent flooding of the Il (an important tributary of the Haut-Rhin), Frédéric Guillaume Hatt - 6th of the generation - transferred the brewery to Cronenbourg, on the heights of Strasbourg. In 1921, the Hatt family acquired the Brasserie du Tigre, a prestigious restaurant, and on this occasion launched the Tigre Bock, the ancestor of Kronenbourg. A few months later, it became the leading Alsatian brewery. In 1930, Tigre Bock was the French leader. And it was in 1947 that Jérôme Hatt decided to launch the "Kronenbourg" brand, in reference to the Alsatian district in which the beer is brewed. The "k" emphasizes the Germanic sound, synonymous with quality. In 1949, the company caused a sensation by consigning the first bottle capped in 33 cl and then 25 cl. And it now bears a red and white checkered label in homage to the Alsatian flag. In 1952, it launched the "1664", the best-selling French beer in the world. The following years saw the birth of the first metallic beer can, the six-pack, and in 1969, Kronenbourg opened a new production site in Obernai, Alsace. In 2008, the Carlsberg group acquired the brand.

The products. In 350 years, Kronenbourg has created a very wide range of beers, including: Kronenbourg, 1664, Grimbergen, Carlsberg, Skøll and Tourtel Twist.

Employment. While Jerome IV Hatt produced 2,500 hectolitres of beer per year at the time, annual production now stands at 7 million hectolitres. The company has 1,200 employees.

This small estate is certified High Environmental Value (HVE3). In his vineyards, Clément Huck combines traditional methods with treatments that respect Mother Nature. After the manual harvest, in the cellar, the whole grapes are delicately pressed and the juice is settled before fermentation. Clément makes fine wines full of character from the 7 Alsatian grape varieties, including a superb Sylvaner Cuvée Sonia made from overripe grapes. Since 1997, Joëlle Bachert vinifies the grapes produced on the family estate of 8 ha, of which 2 ha are located on the Grand Cru Kirchberg of Barr. This charming winegrower produces nice still wines from the 7 Alsatian grape varieties as well as Klevener from Heiligenstein and Crémants d'Alsace (Brut, Rosé, Dosage Zéro). In addition to a gîte for 6 people and 5 guest rooms for 2 to 4 people, Noëlle offers you an original accommodation formula: a comfortable cabin (2 people) installed in the branches of a venerable oak tree!

Peggy and Philippe Maurer are in charge of this 16-hectare (Ecocert-certified) family estate, spread over some forty plots of land offering a very interesting variety of terroirs, including the Lerchenberg, Kritt and Grand Cru Moenchberg appellations. The vines are cultivated without weedkillers, and chemical fertilizers are replaced by manure-based compost. The Maurers vinify the 7 Alsace grape varieties, available in the Tradition, Lieux-dits, Grands Crus, Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains nobles ranges, not forgetting Crémants d'Alsace.

Certified Ecocert, this domain is managed by Pierre Wach, proud representative of 7 generations of wine growers. His vineyard covers 8 hectares, including 1 hectare classified as Grands Crus Kastelberg, Wiebeslberg and Moenchberg. A visit is a must to discover, in the tasting cellar, wines of anthology, in particular the Riesling Grand Cru Kastelberg 2017 double gold medalist by Gilbert & Gaillard (93/100). Wine tourism: the Wach family offers visits to the vineyards and themed evenings (by appointment) as well as 2 gîtes (4 people) and a guest room (2 people).

Grandson of the founder of this estate, Lucas Rieffel makes some very fine wines. In love with his vines and as demanding in terms of cultivation as he is in terms of winemaking, he bases his work on respect for the grapes, which he treats in the most friendly way possible. The 10 ha estate has been certified organic since 2012. It owns plots on the Grands Crus Wiebelsberg in Andlau, Zotzenberg in Mittelbergheim and Kirchberg in Barr. Other parcels are located on remarkable "lieux-dits": the Gebreit from which the estate produces an excellent pinot blanc, the Runz for the pinot noir and the Brandluft for the riesling. These different terroirs allow the winemaker to make his ranges on a wide variety of soils. Manual work on the vines, vigour control, slow pressing and long maturing give birth to quality nectars: pinot blanc Gebreit 2017, pinot noir Kreuzel 2017, pinot gris Grand Cru Kirchberg La Colline aux Escargots 2017. Lucas Rieffel also vinifies very good crémants from Alsace: Brut, Extra Brut and Rosé.

Settled for several generations in the village of Mittelbergheim, this family of winegrowers is today represented by Michel Seltz. He vinifies the 7 Alsatian grape varieties from vines spread over 9 hectares spread over different terroirs, such as Brandluft or Stein, and of course the Grand Cru Zotzenberg where the estate grows gewurztraminer, pinot gris and riesling. The estate has been certified organic since 2010 and produces wines in different ranges, varietal wines or vins de terroir, as well as crémants d'Alsace. Special mention to the sylvaner Grand Cru Zotzenberg 2015 (fruity and expressive), selected in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2019, as well as the pinot gris Grand Cru Zotzenberg 2016.

Scharrach's beers are only consumed in the Lauth restaurant and are proposed to carry in bottles - 50 cl, 2 l - and barrels - from 10 l 50 l to 7 ° alcohol, they fall into blonde, brown, black, Mars or Christmas.

The Meyer family have been winegrowers for a long time: the line currently represented by Pierre-Yves goes back to the ^15th century! Exactly one hundred years after his grandfather Eugène Eck built the family home, Christophe Koenig took over management of the 9-hectare estate in the communes of Goxwiller, Bernardswiller and Obernai. Christophe's son Matéo has already set up an insect house in the vineyards. There are no oenological inputs here, and no sulfites are added during vinification. Ready for a guided tasting? The Amberg estate rhymes with natural quality! For 24 years, Yves Amberg has been managing his 13.5 ha of vines organically. His credo: no chemical products, no weed killers, no fertilizers. He raises his wines as close as possible to their intrinsic nature. And it works! The vintages of the Amberg estate are often praised in specialized books(Guide Hachette des Vins, Solar Vins Bio...) which are references. The jovial Yves Amberg invites you to a colorful tasting of his natural wines.

Distillation has been an art here since 1874. The range includes classic and less conventional eaux-de-vie. What the Distillerie Bertrand is best known for today are their whiskies! Their range is constantly expanding. The latest is Biersky: a blend of whisky and beer spirit, to be enjoyed chilled, at room temperature, as an aperitif or digestif... Over 25 gold medals have been awarded to the company's products in the last ten years!

Winegrowers from father to son since 1659, the Sohler family enjoys a beautiful exposure on the 10 ha of their estate. Assisted by his wife Nadine, François cultivates vines and wine in a way that respects the soil and the seasons. This well-informed winegrower's philosophy is to give time to time. Jean-Daniel and Thomas Boeckel open their cosy, modern cellar to you, featuring oak barrels over a hundred years old and a 250-metre-long bottle conveyor installed in 1950 - a rarity! Another treasure trove: a collection of perfectly preserved old vintages, including Rieslings from 1911! Their Riesling, Sylvaner and Pinot Gris Grands Crus are wonderful wines for laying down. Certified organic in 2013 and Demeter in 2020, this 18 ha estate was created in the 1970s by Laurent Vogt. Thomas and his wife Sylvie are now at the head of the estate, which produces racy wines of excellent quality. they are declined in six ranges: Cépages (gouleyant L'Estival from a maceration of Pinot Gris), Terroirs (excellent Pinot Noir Lieu Dit Oberstupf), Vendanges Tardives, Créations (surprising natural wine Argentoratorum), Perles Rares (special vintage dedicated to the three children of the wine growers), Crémants d'Alsace (Brut, Chardonnay, Rosé).

On a charming square where there is no shortage of references to the village's wine-growing activity, you can combine the discovery of vine products with the tasting of local products directly from the region's farms. This is the concept developed by Henri and Hélène, brother and sister from a family of renowned winegrowers. They therefore offer gastronomic events that give pride of place to the wines of the Kaes estate. Epicureans will appreciate the harmony with typical Alsatian dishes (baekeoffe, sauerkraut, coq au riesling and other delicacies prepared according to the market). Since 1990, this fine family business has been cultivating its vines in the sunny foothills of Mont Sainte-Odile. Its vineyards stretch from Bernardswiller to Otrott, Saint-Nabor, Goxwiller and Obernai. Didier Pfister vinifies his wines in the traditional way, respecting nature and the seasons. His leitmotiv: to produce straightforward wines! Didier will be delighted to show you around and introduce you to his profession. Good to know: with the France Passion label, the estate is equipped to welcome camper vans.

Run by the Koch family for many generations, this estate extends over 12 hectares of vines, mainly on the slopes of the commune of Nothalten. All the plots are located in a circle of 4 to 5 km around the house. The estate owns vines on the Grand Cru Muenchberg and the Heissenberg area. René and his son Michel (a graduate in viticulture-oenology) are now in charge of the estate. The differences in terroir allow them to make strategic choices for the implantation of the grape varieties, all grown with respect for the environment. Several ranges of wines are on offer: traditional wines (notably the sylvaner lieu dit Zellberg 2017, selection Guide Hachette des Vins 2020 and the pinot noir 2015 W-H, coup de coeur*** Guide Hachette des Vins 2019), Grand Cru Muenchberg (riesling and pinot gris), prestige wines (gewurztraminer Vieilles Vignes Cuvée Zoé, riesling Grand Cru Muenchberg Vendange Tardive Le Jardin de Lucie....), and crémant Brut Blanc (a blend of chardonnay and auxerrois) or rosé (100% pinot noir). The Koch family also distills excellent artisanal eaux-de-vie. If you would like to prolong the pleasure of your visit to the estate, you can stay in a pretty independent house perfectly equipped to accommodate up to 6 people in total comfort.

This 12-hectare estate is run by Monique and Christophe. It benefits from an exceptional terroir on the Steige schists, which give the grapes a distinctive minerality. The estate produces a superb Schiefersberg Riesling (2018 vintage, selected by the Guide Hachette des Vins). The Bleesz offer tours of their winery with tasting and guided walks through the vineyards. They take part in the "Pique-Nique chez le Vigneron" operation at Pentecost, and, in December, in the "Noël chez le Vigneron" days. We look forward to seeing you there!

The wines made by Frédéric Arbogast come from a 15-hectare estate, some of whose plots are part of the Grand Cru Bruderthal de Molsheim terroir, which is favourable to Riesling and Gewurztraminer. Other plots are located on the Geierstein, a terroir whose astonishing geology and beautiful sunshine produce wines with exceptional minerality. Several ranges of wines are offered by the estate: "Brut" (Crémant d'Alsace white or rosé), "Plaisir" (wines made from the 7 Alsatian grape varieties, plus an Auxerrois and a "Estivale" rosé), "Tentation" (vins de terroir and Grands Crus) and "Haute Couture" (Vendanges Tardives, Sélection de Grains Nobles, Vin de Glace). Four beautiful vintages highly recommendable: Riesling Vieilles Vignes, Pinot Noir Rouge Barrique, Pinot Gris Geierstein Cuvée Théo, Gewurztraminer Bruderthal Grand Cru.

The know-how of the Gloeckler-Brenner family has been passed on with passion from generation to generation since the ^18th century. The family cultivates 7.5 hectares of vines at the foot of Mont Saint-Odile, notably in the area known as Hoell and Clos des Prunelles. In addition to the Alsatian grape varieties and the Crémant d'Alsace, the estate produces an astonishing wine: the Muscat sur fil, made from grapes dried for 5-6 months in an attic! The water of the grapes evaporates and the wine obtained after pressing and fermentation is incredible of sweetness and freshness.

Spread over more than 18 ha, part of which is on the Scharrach hill, Jean-Marc and Céline Jost's estate has been certified organic since 2014. The vines are grown in a traditional, but non-intensive, way that respects the environment, enabling Jean-Marc and Céline to produce authentic, delicate wines. During your visit, you're sure to enjoy the Clevner Sélection Particulière (beautiful violet aromas), the oak-aged Pinot Noir (woody and vanilla) or the festive Crémant d'Alsace Rosé!

The House of Charles Wantz is a family business with family roots dating back to 1742. The Wantz family have been winegrowers from father to son for generations and the estate has some twenty hectares of vines around Barr. Taken over by Eliane, Charles Wantz's daughter, and her husband Erwin Moser, the estate now meets the requirements of sustainable viticulture. It offers unique wines that are exported to nearly 25 countries. Made from the pink Savagnin grape variety, the Heiligenstein klevener is particularly renowned for its remarkable personality. To be discovered at the Cellier Saint-Marc, the tasting cellar of the House of Charles Wantz, which houses the excellent vintages of the estate, but also wines from French and foreign vineyards.

Certified organic since 2012, the Anstotz estate seems to be in perpetual innovation! It has thus left its original farmhouse dating from 1580 to invest in modern and much more functional premises. But fortunately, one can still admire the original wooden tuns with finely sculpted locks. Another particularity of this very welcoming domain is that it offers both traditional wines, good vintages from old vines, but also natural wines, notably a deliciously aromatic and festive Gewurztraminer Pétillant Naturel!

This family estate of 9.3 hectares produces wines around the 7 Alsatian grape varieties in strict respect of the environment. In the cellar: indigenous yeasts, maturing on lees and treatments reduced to a minimum thanks to the meticulous monitoring of the parcels. The Cuvées Vieilles Vignes, the Grands Crus, the Vendanges Tardives and the Sélections de Grains Nobles are appreciated by connoisseurs. The prices remain reasonable. A gîte accommodates 2 to 4 people in a rustic and bourgeois setting, with the added bonus of pleasant walks at the foot of the Haut-Koenigsbourg.

Daniel Haegi, in charge of the vineyard and winemaking, and his wife Sylvie, who welcomes visitors to the cellar, harmoniously run this 9-hectare estate. On the 27 plots of vines spread over Mittelbergheim and Eichhoffen, the estate produces the whole range of Alsace wines as well as Late Harvest and Sélection de Grains Nobles, not forgetting Crémant d'Alsace. The estate has been converted to organic farming since 2013. It practises grassing one row out of two. Harvesting is done by hand and vinification is done on a plot by plot basis in order to magnify the characteristics of the grape varieties and the terroirs. The Haegi have plots on the clayey-limestone soil of the Grand Cru Zotzenberg where they produce Rieslings and Sylvaners Grands Crus that have attracted attention, as well as on the Brandluft area with its clayey-limestone and sandstone soil. Two gîtes (4-5 persons) are set up in the winegrowers' house, with a separate entrance. Garden furniture and parking space.

The Hering family has been producing wine in Barr since 1858. Certified AB, their 12-hectare vineyard extends over the whole of the communal area in the foothills of the Vosges. It includes vines on the limestone soils of the Kirchberg de Barr Grand Cru, on the Clos de la Folie Marco (sheltered from the north winds), on the Clos Gaensbroennel (favourable to gewurztraminer) as well as on the so-called Krug and Rosenegert sites (where the estate practises complantation). The Hering family alternates mowing and ploughing to encourage pollination. The grapes are harvested by hand, after which the juice is extracted by pneumatic pressing at low pressure. Fermentation in Vosges oak tuns takes place without exogenous yeasts. The estate offers days or half-days to discover the various aspects of the Alsatian vineyard, from vine to wine (ask at the estate). A pleasant gîte (2-4 people) is set up as a duplex in a beautiful Alsatian house with a view of the Kirchberg vineyard. Under the leadership of François Koch, this domain exploits 17 ha of vineyards spread over several communes within a 10 km radius of the domain. The vintages are divided into four ranges: varietal wines, terroir wines, prestige wines, Crémants d'Alsace. A visit will allow you to appreciate the quality of the wines produced by François Koch. He also welcomes you in his charming gîte (6 people) in a separate house on his estate.

Since 1896, Maison Willm has been offering a varied range of fine wines, Grands Crus and Crémants d'Alsace, from soils with a predominance of granite and clay-limestone, including Clos Gaensbroennel, on the terroir of the Kirchberg Grand Cru. The estate practices a subtle marriage of tradition and modernity. The Grands Crus, the Reserve Wines and the Late Harvest Wines are aged in oak tuns. But Maison Willm is also the art of distilling: 9 varieties of brandies and liqueurs made from the fruits of its orchards and elaborated according to tradition. The heating is done in copper stills in a water bath. A skill and experience that gives rise to excellent quality spirits.

At the Fischbach family, we have been winemakers since 1584! In 2017, Jean Dreyfus took over the reins of this family estate after a 5-year hiatus. Ecocert certification since 2020 for this pretty estate whose 4 ha of vines are spread over the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten as well as the Graureben and Steinacker terroirs. Trained at the Ecole des Vins de Bourgogne in Beaune and at the Ecole des cadres agricoles in Schiltigheim, Jean Dreyfus works according to certain biodynamic principles in order to vinify his wines in the most natural way possible while bringing a personal touch of green. He welcomes you by appointment in his charming cellar decorated with old prints and vintage family portraits. His tasting comments will allow you to appreciate his excellent wines, notably the Traenheim Rouge (rich and powerful unfiltered pinot noir), the gewurztraminer Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten (mineral and airy) or an excellent organic crémant brut.

This family estate brings together, on about ten hectares and fifty or so plots of land, several great terroirs such as those of Felsberg, Eichelberg and Fronholz. Concerned about the preservation of nature as well as the quality of the wines, the Geiger-Koenig estate practises environmentally friendly viticulture. It has been certified organic since 2013. On Wednesday and Thursday mornings in July and August, at 10 am, a guided walk through the village and the vineyards will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about the history, geography, geology and even the dialect of the region. This discovery of the vineyard is ritually followed by a tasting of the estate's wines. To be discovered in particular during your visit to the estate: muscat 2017 (fresh and fruity), sylvaner Vieilles Vignes 2018 (from Schieferberg), klevener Feldsberg Terroir de Schistes 2017 (vanilla peach aromas), pinot gris Spitzheck 2017 (fig and apricot aromas), gewurztraminer Brumes d'Automne 2018 (superb notes of overripe fruit). Managed with passion by Bernard and Nathalie Becht, this 15-hectare farm (HVE3 certified since May 2019) is spread over a wide variety of terroirs spread over the communes of Dorlisheim, Mutzig and Molsheim. Cultivating all the traditional Alsatian grape varieties, the estate cultivates three localities that are particularly favourable to vines: Finkenberg (clay-limestone soil and steep slope) where Riesling is particularly popular, Kalkgrube (rich in magnesia) from which the estate produces Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer, and finally Husaren which is planted with Riesling, Muscat and Gewurztraminer. Bernard and Nathalie Becht will be delighted to welcome you for a commented tasting of their typical and fruity wines (Authentique range) or more complex wines, for ageing (Exception range) and beautiful Late Harvest wines. Special mention to the pinot gris 2017, gold medal winner at the Concours des Vignerons Indépendants 2019 and to the Crémant Chardonnay stamped with 2 stars in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2019.

At the helm of this young 9-hectare estate, Thomas Klein produced his first harvest in 2015. His credo: to make wine in osmosis with the terroir, the vines and the winemaker's soul. He makes the most of his mountain vineyards planted on an exceptional schist terroir. This gives birth to wines of character: pinot blanc, sylvaner, riesling, pinot gris, crémant d'Alsace. Some are absolutely sumptuous, made from pinot noir: the famous Rouge d'Albé from the Schrann and Steinacker vineyards. A tasting is a must!

Having tested it from the very first day it opened, we can tell you that there's a good chance you'll quickly become a regular! It's also a caterer offering tasty dishes made to order, which are a pleasure to enjoy at home. Last but not least, it's a friendly place where small-scale catering has all the makings of a big one!
