This beautiful ^17th-century listed house is home to a small 5-hectare estate that produces all the grape varieties of Alsace and benefits from plots in the Grand Cru Frankstein terroir. In charge of this family domain, Patrick Meyer is a strong defender of "natural" wines! To do this, he leads his 9 ha domain in organic farming and has been biodynamie for several decades already. His wines also claim a certain freedom from the usual codes by showing frankness and sincerity, but also and above all personality. Patrick Meyer lets the land speak to the maximum by speaking as little as possible. However, there is no question of tolerating any parasitage: That's why he adopted the glass cap for some of his vintages. Among its famous wines are the Riesling Grand Cru Muenchberg, Pinot Noir Les Stones Warm and the Ancient Vineyards.

The wine origins of the Scharsch family date back to 1755, 8 generations to date. Today, the estate covers some 12 hectares, which are run in organic viticulture (since 2009) without any fertilizers, weed killers or chemical treatment products. Situated in the heart of the vineyards of the famous Couronne d'Or, its 35 plots are spread over a wide variety of soils and exposures, including the Grand Cru Altenberg de Wolxheim. Now at the head of the family estate, Nicolas Scharsch was elected Winemaker of the Year by the Guide Hachette des Vins 2019. A fine consecration for this enthusiast of "green" viticulture, which consists of producing less... but better! In addition to Sylvan'Air 2018, a lovely, slender and airy natural wine (without added sulphur and filtering), Nicolas Scharsch introduces you to some very fine vintages, notably the Pinot Gris Cuvée Noé 2017 (rated 90/100 Gilbert & Gaillard 2020), the Riesling Grand Cru Altenberg de Wolxheim Vendanges Tardives 2015 (Coup de Coeur** Guide Hachette des Vins 2020), or "Les Petits Grains - Pinot Noir" 2018 (fruity, slightly spicy and woody). This wine estate of 12 ha in organic conversion is managed by the 10th and 11th generations of the family: Hubert, his wife Françoise and their son, Nicolas. Since 1724, this estate has been evolving and growing with the times, respecting nature and the vines, which is reflected in the wines! the Crémant rosé, with its floral and fruity palate, is a Hachette 2023 favorite and the fresh and balanced Gewurztraminer 2020 received 97 Decanter Platinum points at the 2022 Wolrd Wine Awards. Visitors can spend the night in one of the gîtes to spread out the tastings.

Charles and his son Alexandre manage together this domain located at the foot of the Mont Sainte-Odile in a charming setting rich in beautiful walks. They produce an emblematic grape variety with flattering aromas: the pink savagnin called here the Klevener de Heiligenstein. They offer their excellent wines in 6 different ranges. The vineyards of Rosenwiller produce very tasty wines thanks to the clay-limestone soils of the Westerberg area. Today managed by Nicolas, the Einhart family estate was created at the end of the 19th century. For Nicolas Einhart, tradition is essential, that's why he cultivates his vines in an ancestral and organic way. However, he does not turn his back on modernity: he has thus trained himself to fly over the plots of his estate with a drone in order to spot differences in vigour, deficiencies and missing vines. All this allows him to produce racy wines, worthy of the most beautiful expressions of the Alsace appellation. As an aperitif or to accompany gastronomic dishes, there is something for everyone!

The Roue Libre Brewery welcomes you on site, in a real beer bistro where the worlds of brewing and cycling are intertwined. This micro-brewery is integrated into the bistro and the beers are designed and brewed on the spot, next to the counter! Roue Libre is a playful place. Many animations, workshops and concerts punctuate the agenda to make your visit unique. Leave with your own bottles, boxes or even your "growler" (2l bottles).

This friendly estate has 11 hectares of vineyards mainly in Dorlisheim and on the Grauersberg hill in Bischoffsheim. Vincent and Valérie take advantage of the best of the 7 Alsatian grape varieties to produce authentic and subtle wines. Sometimes even a little whimsical, like the "G de Goesel", an atypical and greedy wine of maceration based on pinot gris. Winemaker Jean-Paul Schmitt runs this hillside estate in a locality called Hühnelmühle. He makes the most of his terroir by applying biodynamic methods to produce healthy wines. To discover: the Riesling Rittersberg Grande Réserve 2011 or the Crémant Brut Zéro, a blend of pinot noir and pinot blanc. Since 2021, Jean-Paul Schmitt has been handing over his hectares to Domaine Achillée, with whom he shares a bioclimatic winery, while continuing to sell his wines.

The Silber family produces a wide range of wines on a 20-hectare estate in Dambach-la-Ville. Winemakers for several generations, they vinify in an environmentally friendly way. The Riesling Grand Cru Franckstein 2017, with floral aromas, will be perfect with poultry. The Crémant d'Alsace Blanc de Noir, with a slightly pink color and a particularly fruity nose, will be an accomplice to your great moments. The wines of the domain can also be discovered in a box including a few bottles: "Discovery of Alsace Wines", "Grands Crus".

From the vine to the bottle, all the work is done on this family estate of 6 ha. The vines are planted on the outskirts of the commune of Mittelbergheim. They are spread over the terroirs of the Grand Cru Zotzenberg as well as the Pfoeller and Stein areas for the Riesling. All the Alsatian grape varieties are present, including, of course, the Sylvaner, a grape variety that is not to be missed in the commune. The grape harvest is manual, the musts from different terroirs are not mixed in order to bring out their specificity. The tasting cellar is installed in the old village forge: the ancestors of today's winegrowers used to work as blacksmiths in parallel with their winegrowing activity!

At the Ulmer family, the wine rises with reflection. They organize tastings of their products, but also outings to discover wine trails and flambéed pie evenings in the summer season upon reservation. For three generations, the Ulmer family has been cultivating the 7 Alsatian grape varieties in AOP or AOC. An Auxerrois Cuvée du Retraité, a Pinot Gris Cuvée Christiane and a Gewurztraminer Cuvée Floriane (to be tasted immediately or kept) are sure to seduce you.

The Meckert family manages 16 hectares of vineyards in Heiligenstein. This dynasty of winegrowers from father to son for six generations owns plots of land on the Weinberg, in the Clos Schwendehiesel (favourable to Klevener) as well as on the terroir of the Grand Cru Kirchberg of Barr. The Meckert family produces wines from the 7 Alsace grape varieties, notably a delicious Sylvaner Vieilles Vignes La Grange 2021. But also a superb Riesling Grand Cru Kirchberg de Barr Fleur d'Automne 2020, and an exceptional Klevener de Heiligenstein Vieilles Vignes 2021.

Jean-Pierre and Sophie Rietsch welcome you by appointment to discover the variety of their wines, some of which have surprising names. In particular the Auxerrois Entre Chien et Loup (salty and lemony), the Pinot Gris Quand le Chat n'est pas Là (a wine made by maceration with a beautiful red color) or the Gewurztraminer Demoiselle (beautiful aromas of dried fruits slightly caramelized). The Riestch also produce a superb Sylvaner Grand Cru Zotzenberg. Special mention to the very artistic labels that adorn all these good bottles!

This human-sized estate (6 hectares of vines) is run organically by Olivier Carl. It is located in the fortified enclosure of Dambach-la-Ville, near the famous granite ramparts. A visit (preferably by appointment) will allow you to discover some excellent vintages full of character. Notably Rose des Sables, a balanced and refreshing summer rosé, as well as a Pinot Noir Terre de Granite with a succulent ripe cherry taste. You will undoubtedly also appreciate the Crémant d'Alsace L'Instant R 100 % Riesling, delicious as an aperitif!

The Pettermann estate covers 20 ha around the commune of Dambach, known as the "city of granite with two micas". Here, vinification has been carried out from father to son since 1928, on the initiative of Fernand Pettermann, the grandfather of the current winegrower, Didier. The family pays particular attention to the work in the vineyard, and it is quite logical that the yields are controlled as well as possible. The soil is dynamised thanks to ploughing the rows, natural grassing and the use of organic fertilisers. Finally, several tasks are carried out manually such as harvesting, de-stemming and summer and winter pruning to avoid the frequent use of agricultural machinery. The grapes are therefore pampered all year round. Don't hesitate to come and taste the traditional range of the Maison Pettermann as well as various specialities, notably the Auxerrois "R", the Riesling "Cuvée de l'Ours", the Pinot Noir "Perle de Vigne", the Muscat "Gourmandise" and, of course, the famous Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Frankstein!

Racème kézako: in botany, it's a bunch or inflorescence. Sur la Route des Vins is the name of an estate created in 2015 following on from Domaine Charles Schwartz & Fils. Serge and Peggy Schwartz wanted to perpetuate the work of this 5-generation line of winemaker-growers. The young couple cultivate their estate in an ecologically sound manner, producing fresh, straightforward, easy-drinking wines in 4 ranges: Traditionnels, Grands Crus, Prestiges and Crémants. Muscat Belle Amie is a crisp, delicious treat!

After various wine experiences in Burgundy, Portugal and Romania, Ghislain and Angela Moritz embarked on a crazy adventure: the creation of their own 5 ha estate between 400 and 500 m altitude on a famous schist terroir. Their first vintage dates from 2018 and since 2022, they welcome you in their brand new cellar to taste, by appointment, some memorable vintages vinified in stainless steel tanks, oak barrels and stoneware jars. A big favorite is the delicate Riesling Coteaux du Schieferberg with its sweet pear aromas.

Embodying the^3rd generation on this estate, Luc Faller pampers his 8 ha vineyard certified AB (2007) and Demeter (2010). He sees his vines as a playground for the local fauna and flora. In the cellar, he practices a minimalist vinification, intervening, he says, at the rhythm of cosmic and earthly forces in order to accompany the wine without forcing it. These beautiful practices give birth to very seductive vintages, whether traditional or natural. The Riesling Cuvée Matthias Vendanges Tardives is a pure marvel of spicy freshness.

On 12 hectares of vines spread over the Fruehmess, a terroir blessed by the gods, Rémy Kieffer perpetuates a know-how carefully maintained for 3 generations. With Michel Haensler, he signs fruity and racy vintages with beautiful labels of famous artists. Since 2008, Henri Kaes has been cultivating 7.5 hectares of vines that are now certified organic. Henri has not yet switched to biodynamic farming, but he has been applying the good practices since his early days as a winemaker. Heir of 6 generations rooted in the vineyards of Molsheim, Henri welcomes you in the cellar of his family home, a beautiful half-timbered building dating from 1533, an ideal setting to discover his wines made with a beautiful instinct. In particular his Mollesheim Leimen, a powerful and full-bodied Alsatian red (from pinot noir), sublime!

Sylvain Girard advises you and transmits his knowledge and love for wine. Nearly 600 selected labels come from unknown vineyards or great French appellations. He offers 5-liter wine fountains for your evenings as well as ripened cheeses by the slice (raw milk, farmhouse or artisanal) and a selection of great French and Spanish charcuterie sliced to order (ham, lomo, dried beef, dried duck breast); trays to order. Delicatessen products are also available for gourmet baskets as well as for everyday needs. Tasting courses are also offered throughout the year: a good gift idea.

The Domaine du Petit Poucet proudly displays its particularity: it is the smallest estate in Alsace! It is after having finished with his other job that Gérard Blaess, an enthusiastic and passionate winemaker, takes care of his 50 ares of vines, which he vinifies in the basement of his house. An ardent defender of organic viticulture, for him good wine is made in the vineyard. His plots of land are in Marlenheim, on clayey-limestone soil, and in Wangen, on sandstone soil. The harvest is of course manual; the whole grapes are pressed and only indigenous yeasts are used. The wines benefit from maturing on fine lees; the estate avoids unnecessary racking and practises minimal sulphiting. For organic wines, Domaine du Petit Poucet offers a Sylvaner Vieilles Vignes 2015, a Riesling 2015, a Gewurztraminer "Coccinelle" 2016 and a Pinot Gris Sélection de Grains Nobles 2015. On the Nature side, the Auxerrois "Sans pour Cent" 2017 and "Les Nuances de Pinot" 2017 are in great demand. These are wines of very good quality produced in limited quantities.

Steve and his wife Camille embody a second generation with plenty of drive and plans to make the most of the family estate's finest terroirs, particularly in the Hoell and Mittel Aue areas. The young couple's winemaking philosophy can be summed up in a few words: "Produce quality wines with personality". Their new certified organic cuvées are sure to win you over. During your visit, be sure to try the Klevener de Heiligenstein "Barrique" (18 months ageing on lees), suave and gastronomic!

Dominique, Marie-Claude and their son Marc make you discover their wines from their area of 12 hectares in their beautifully flowered masterhouse. White and auxerkings, as well as sylvaner and riesling Grand Cru Winzenberg are highly reputable, and chestnut and coing liqueurs also have strong adherents. Bottle labels can be customized to a wedding, birthday or gift idea. The area also has five very beautiful guest rooms with views of the vineyards: Exotic, romantic, bucolic… They are very comfortable and pleasantly decorated. The shop of the estate offers the whole range of wines in the field, as well as spirits, fruit juices and regional products (saucraut, baeckee, foie gras…). Bicycles are offered for hire, a ball field is nearby. A wide range of hiking tours are available to you and those who prefer more gentle walks will enjoy the joyful walks. The area participates in the "Picnic at the Vigneron" operation every Monday of Pentecost. In the service of the vine since the 1936 th century, it was in that the Gisselbrecht family gave a commercial dimension to its activity. At the head of an area spanning 18 hectares, between Dambach and surrounding villages, it makes, today, nectars from the seven traditional Alsatian grape varieties. The Lutz family is very attached to the respect of traditions. Depending on the grape varieties, the vinification is carried out in stainless steel vats or in wooden tuns. Yeasting (indigenous) is practised exclusively for the Crémant d'Alsace and AOC wines. Created in 1824 by Martin Klipfel and developed by the late André Lorentz (an insatiable promoter of Alsace wines who was a member of the Académie des Vins de France), this beautiful wine house is now run by the Helfrich family. This family business has about 40 hectares of vines, including 15 hectares on the Kirchberg Grands Crus of Barr, Kastelberg and Wiebelsberg in Andlau. Since 1830, it has been the sole owner of the fabulous Clos Zisser. As early as 1921, the House of Klipfel produced Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles, long before these mentions were made official. It is also one of the pioneers in the Burgundian barrel ageing of Pinot Noir. The estate's marvellous oenotheque contains wines from the beginning of the 20th century. A visit to the cellar and the museum is very interesting as it allows you to discover the life of the vine and wine with a beautiful collection of tools and objects amassed over time. Tasting visits and tasting initiations are organised all year round, by appointment. As for the wines, the choice is Cornelian, as the Klipfel range is so rich in excellent vintages. Welcome to the oldest distillery in Alsace! Founded in 1850 by Joesph Lehmann, it has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label for its excellent know-how. Its brandies are renowned as well as its range (IGP label) of Elsass Whisky Single Malt, and are regularly awarded at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris. Visit of the distillery and tasting by appointment for groups of more than 15 people, sales area on site and online store.

Superb cellar. The famous Alsatian domains (Boxler, Ostertag, Mann, Weinbach, Zind-Humbrecht, Zusslin) are there, as well as nice bottles from Burgundy, the Rhone Valley, the Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Languedoc, Jura, Champagne and from abroad. Not forgetting the choice of beers and spirits: rums, cognacs, armagnacs, calvados, eaux-de-vie, liqueurs, ports... Here's a lovely, independent, organic estate. For three generations, the Dischlers have been cultivating the 7 Alsatian grape varieties (sylvaner, riesling, pinots auxerrois, blanc, gris, noir, muscat and gewurztraminer) and perpetuating their love of wine. Today, André and his wife Nathalie manage the 9.5 hectares of vines (18 parcels in all, some of which are located in Rothstein, Carrières Royales and Grand Cru Altenberg de Wolxheim). Gîte (4-6 people) awarded 3 keys and Bacchus label by Clévacances.

The name of this domain prevails over two regions, the Bas-Rhin, for three centuries, and the Gard since 1999. Antoine, the son, takes over the land of Andlau and Marc, the father, works his vineyard in the south. But both are guided by the same passion for land. Antoine produces wines mainly from riesling varieties, pinot gray and pinot white on a multitude of shale, sandstone or granite soils. Three soils rank in large cru: Kastelberg, Wiebelsberg and Moenchberg. The wines surprise with their minerality and freshness (always in a dry style). For the Moenchberg, produced from the tertiary soil that the Rhine has deposited there, we love its fruity, spicy and opulent notes. The riesling from Kastelberg is long, mineral, and only gives its exceptional measure after a few years on call. Some good cups of the moment: Riesling Grand Cru Kastelberg 2015, pinot gris Grand Cru Moenchberg 2016, pinot Kritt 2016.

Few winemakers in Alsace do not know the cooperage Baumert. For in a vigneron life, there is always a time when you need to redo a strap, guarantee the waterproofing, change a room to break on a drum. Contrary to what might be believed, the activity of cooper is therefore not limited to making the drums and selling them, but to come on site, with the vine grower to carry out repairs. Maintenance is therefore essential for wine growers who sometimes use dozens of drums each year whose state must obviously be impeccable. The Baumert house works 90% with the Alsatian winemakers. Of course, it manufactures new barrels, on demand, with a capacity of 800 to 3 000, or even 4 000 L. Wood used is exclusively oak in the Vosges, guaranteeing optimum quality.

Wolfberger is THE house of wines, crémants and spirits from Alsace located in the heart of the Carré d'Or in Strasbourg. The boutique, very elegant and refined, displays the black and gold colours of the century-old brand. The team offers you very good advice and presents more than fifty references at ex-cellar prices, including precious nectars from the Hospices Civils de Strasbourg. The range of eaux-de-vie and liqueurs is also well representative of the region, as they are made with respect for tradition and express the full range of an ancestral terroir.

This small estate of nine and a half hectares, cultivated by integrated pest management, contains all the seven grape varieties of Alsace. Riesling and Pinot gris are aged in old wooden barrels, the other wines are aged in stainless steel tanks. The tasting is done in the small cellar, it's friendly. You can stay overnight in one of the well-equipped Gîtes de France 3 épis with board games, bowls, green space and barbecue, introduction to wine tasting... Under the leadership of Yannick and Sylvie, the Ostertag-Hurlimann estate is beginning a new chapter in its beautiful winegrowing saga. The children of Jeanine and René have no shortage of ideas for the dynamic management of their 18-hectare HVE3-certified estate. The vines planted in part on the Grand Cru Winzenberg give birth to wines with assertive aromas, such as the Riesling 2020 (Gilbert & Gaillard gold medal) which has good ageing potential.

Since 1885, Klein-Wanner has specialized in brandies and bitters, a true emblem of Alsace's cultural heritage. Located in the old Haag brewery in Ingwiller, Klein Wanner produces four products: the authentic Sommer bitter, the alcohol-free one, the special lemon syrup and the Sommer flower, a beer brandy bitter made from orange and tangerine peels macerated in beer brandy. The Ruhlmann family's winemaking know-how is passed on as a heritage, as is shown by the professionalism of Pascal, who mainly looks after the vines, and Guy, in charge of the vinification. They are both at the helm of this 14-hectare estate (certified High Environmental Value), which has been cultivated using integrated farming methods for the past fifteen years. Every year, Guy and Pascal Ruhlmann's regular work is praised by the professional press, in particular for their Rieslings, Pinots Gris and other Crémants d'Alsace. The estate has parcels on the Rittersberg (granite hillside where Riesling and Pinot Noir ripen elegantly), and on the Ortenberg (favourable to Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer). Tradition, Terroir, Crémants d'Alsace and Late Harvest wines: so many nuggets to discover during a commented tasting rich in fascinating anecdotes!

For nearly 20 years, Cécile Lorentz has been making fine wines that are appreciated beyond the borders of Alsace. Breaking with the transmission from father to son, Cécile, who comes from a lineage dating back to the ^17th century, is the first woman to manage this family estate of 9 hectares spread over the slopes of the Wangenberg. She welcomes you for a walk in her vineyards followed by a commented tasting. Her Auxerrois "Chat Alors!" is deliciously fresh and easy to drink!

This family vineyard of 12 ha is spread over five communes: Andlau, Blienschwiller, Dambach-la-Ville, Eichhoffen and Epfig. The Domaine Moritz is spread over exceptional terroirs: Grands Crus Kastelberg, Moenchberg, Wiebelsberg and Winsenberg. As well as on the so-called Rebbuhl for the Riesling and Fronholz for the Gewurztraminer. If the seven Alsatian grape varieties are vinified on the estate, Riesling is king here, with 50% of the vines. Certified High Environmental Value (HVE), Domaine Moritz produces wines of very beautiful expression: pinot noir Barrique 2015 (from old vines), Riesling Grand Cru Kastelberg 2015, Crémant d'Alsace Émotion (pinot blanc and pinot gris). Given the quality of these wines, prices remain reasonable. If you wish to stay in this beautiful corner of Alsace, the Moritz's have a beautiful gîte (85 ^m2), the Maison de Tilda et Rose, in Blienschwiller. It is a beautifully furnished ecological architect's house (made of wood) with a terrace and a hanging garden and can comfortably accommodate four/five people.

The history of Domaine Durrmann began in 1978 when Anna and André moved here. The two spouses quickly embarked on viticulture, transforming their nascent estate into a wine-growing farm into a mixed farming business. With the help of their son Yann, who will take over the estate after them, they produce a very mineral wine on 10 hectares of vines without adding sulphite or oenological inputs: the vine is not considered as a monoculture but rather as an intrinsic part of an ecosystem. Kastelberg, Wiebelsberg and Moenchberg are among the most famous areas of the estate. And as a bonus, the visit and exchange with the winegrowers promises to be exciting!

Born into a family of winegrowers who delivered their grapes to the cooperative, Julien sees himself as a winegrower-countryman, close to nature, tirelessly pursuing a search for optimal maturity. Today he is at the head of 2 ha spread over 5 locations: it is one of the smallest domains in Alsace by size, but not by quality! Julien produces atypical wines, truly natural, seductive by their airy softness. We particularly appreciate his delicious and racy Riesling Glaser with a delicious lemon nose!

Worthy heirs of a wine-making tradition initiated by their ancestors who came from Austria in the ^16th century, Jean-Marc, Liliane and Stéphane Wantz manage their 11-hectare estate (in the process of being converted to organic farming) with respect for the environment (they are Terra Vitis members) and for the specific characteristics of their terroirs. Their vineyards are mainly located around Mittelbergheim, with notably beautiful parcels on the Grand Cru Zotzenberg which is the only terroir where Sylvaner has been elected to the rank of Grand Cru! Stéphane, Jean-Marc and Liliane's son, is in charge of the vinification of the different vintages of the domain, from the 7 Alsatian grape varieties. The Wantz family is happy to welcome you (preferably by appointment) to reveal the particularities of their excellent wines through 5 ranges rich in tasty discoveries: Les Espiègles (pleasure wines), Les Classiques (AOC Alsace wines), Grands Crus Zotzenberg (sylvaner, riesling, Gewurztraminer), Vendanges Tardives and Sélections de Grains Nobles, and, finally, the Crémant d'Alsace (Brut or Rosé).
