Biodynamic wines from Bergbieten's exceptional terroirs: freshness, finesse and elegance from Schmitt.
The Schmitt estate is in the passionate hands of Julien, organic winegrower since 2004 and biodynamic winegrower since 2019, supported by his mother Anne-Marie, brother Bruno and sister Lucile. Together, they make the most of their exceptional terroirs: the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten, as well as the Glintzberg and Thalberg lieux-dits. The 10-hectare estate favors respectful winemaking practices: manual harvesting, indigenous yeasts, ageing on fine lees. To discover: the Riesling Glintzberg, the Crémant d'Alsace "Les Bulles de Noémie" and the magnificent Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Altenberg en Vendanges Tardives.
