Taramundi can be reached by car on the AS-11, more than 30 km south of Castropol. In 1980, the Region created this rural tourist centre from an existing heritage. There are iron workshops and forges where, among other things, penknives are made. We recommend a visit to the workshop of Juan Carlos Quintana, a prestigious expert in cutlery made from Damascus steel. There are also flour mills and weaving looms. The area is rich in forests and fast-flowing waterways. Eight signposted routes invite you to go for a walk or a horse ride in a beautiful environment.
