Nestled in a beautiful valley, Lourenzá is a medium-sized municipality with about 2,300 inhabitants. The place is worth a stop to admire its baroque monastery of San Salvador. Legend has it that the name of the town comes from the original founder of the monastery, Count Don Osorio Gutiérrez, who named it after his children, Lourenzo and Ana. Today the town is quite lively, and you will find many stores, both food and non-food. Also a respectable number of bars and restaurants for a well-deserved break. Not to mention a few hostels and hotels to spend the night.
