Nestling at the bottom of a valley in the shadow of the Brézouard, which rises to an altitude of 1,229 metres, this small town is captivating by the beauty of its setting and its Maison du Pays Welche, an ecomuseum dedicated to the culture of this region where a very ancient Romanesque patois is still spoken. From Fréland, there are beautiful walks and hikes, especially towards the famous Brézouard. Initiated by the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, a trail to discover the landscapes of Fréland has been set up. Beginning opposite the town hall, it consists of about ten stops. It crosses the pastures and offers magnificent views of the village and its many valleys.
