Aubure has the reputation of being the highest village in Alsace: it dominates the Alsace plain at an altitude of 800 meters. Protected from the winds by the Brézouard massif, it enjoys a microclimate which, since the end of the 19th century, has made it a highly reputed holiday and spa resort, renowned for the quality of its air in both summer and winter. What's more, it's also an excellent starting point for exploring the many hiking trails in the area. Don't miss the Belvedere, a magnificent monument located on the Fréland pass on the way to Salem. It offers an incredible view of the Vosges ridges and the valley!
