At an altitude of 400 metres, this small town is known for its mineral water. But it also houses some heritage elements to be discovered such as its gofio mill and the Paseo de Canarias. On the latter there are mosaics, brought from Seville, representing the seven islands of the archipelago and the 21 municipalities of Gran Canaria to be discovered on the way up the street. In the middle flows a fountain more than thirty meters long, made of ashlar. Located opposite the neo-Canarian-style town hall, the church of San Roque offers one of the most beautiful views of the north of the island and on a clear day over Tenerife and Fuerteventura.
