A town of potters since Gallic times, Lezoux is known the world over as the capital of Gallo-Roman sigillas. The Musée départemental de la Céramique (departmental ceramics museum) offers visitors an insight into the world of potters from Antiquity to the present day. Other points of interest in the town include the belfry, a vestige of the town's defensive system, the former convent of Saint-Augustin monks, and the campanile, also known as the clock tower, topped by delicate wrought ironwork that can be spotted from afar. Medieval relics, fountains and parks can also be discovered on a stroll along the town's narrow streets.
