The Mission Museums of the 21st Century was set up in 2016 by the Ministry of Culture in order to launch a common reflection among all the museums of France. In its conclusions, a number of measures have been taken, including the Dare the Museum Award, which rewards institutions that have committed themselves to a policy of reaching out to all audiences, especially those in economically vulnerable or excluded situations. The Musée de la céramique de Lezoux has just been awarded the 2nd national prize ex æquo with the Musée d'art moderne de Céret, because of its commitment to widespread accessibility since its creation. The museum actively participates in the idea of territorial renewal and this prize will not fail to encourage it in its endeavours. More information on the website of the Ceramic Museum of Lezoux.
