A small seaside village next to São Roque. It's known for its natural swimming pools, where it's pleasant to bask, but also for its church and small museum, the Adega A Buraca. The parish dates back to the late 17th century, when it was the ecclesiastical parish of Santo António, in honor of Anthony of Padua. Its main center of worship was dedicated to the invocation of the saint, the single belfry church of Santo António. The church was dotted with a precious altarpiece located in the presbytery, elaborated in slender guild and its large stoic images dedicated to Saint Anthony and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
