From Norte Pequeno, the road is lined with exotic flowers and small wooden bridges. Several viewpoints offer superb panoramas of this other end of the world; the first, at the top, gives a good perspective of the fajã and the high cliffs plunging almost vertically into the ocean. Like many others, Fajã dos Cubres enjoys a microclimate. The site is one of the most photogenic on the island. From here, you can walk along a path (PR01 SJO) used by donkeys, motorcycles and lizards; it descends, climbs, under the woods with Terceira in the background, to reach a remote spot: Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo.
