First stop not to be missed! Just 5 kilometers from Horta town center, on the way to Praia do Almoxarife, this belvedere offers an absolutely breathtaking view: to the south, the town and Monte da Guia, to the east, Pico and its volcano (more or less clear...), to the north, Praia do Almoxarife and the coastline, and to the west, the summit of Cabeço Gordo, the imposing volcano on the island of Faial. If the sky is clear and blue, you can also see the islands of São Jorge and Graciosa in the distance. Access is very easy by car, and parking lots on both sides of the road allow you to stop without risk to enjoy the panorama.
