Its main attraction is the church of San Pawl Milqi (St. Paul the Welcome), built on the supposed site of the former residence of Publius, the Roman governor converted by St. Paul, and visited by many Maltese. The present chapel, dating from the early 17th century, was rebuilt on 15th-century ruins. Excavations around the chapel revealed a Roman farmhouse dating from the 2nd or 3rd century AD. Finds show that the main activity was olive oil production. On the outskirts of Burmarrad, you'll also notice the local stone walls. They form the start of the Victoria Lines.
