A former stronghold, now classified as one of France's most beautiful villages, Pradelles lies on the border between the Velay and Gévaudan regions, at an altitude of 1,130 m. It dominates the Haut-Allier valley, on the Régordane route. It overlooks the Haut-Allier valley on the Régordane route, making it a popular stopping-off point for merchants and pilgrims. From its rich past, it has preserved a fine architectural heritage: the arcades of the Place de la Halle, the remains of fortifications, high stone facades... Climb to the top of the village to the viewpoint indicator in the Calvaire garden, for a breathtaking panorama. It's also the perfect opportunity to follow Stevenson's trail, now known as the GR70.
