MAZIGON CASTLE
Castle below Pradelles, where you can admire the park, the chapel, the kitchen and the library during the heritage days.
Below Pradelles, the Château de Mazigon resembles a fortified house flanked by turrets on the upper part of the building. In addition to its heritage, it's the owner's passion for restoring his "treasures" that takes us back in time. Little by little, he renovated and maintained the building, which has been listed as a Monument Historique since 1997. The current château dates from the 16th century, although traces of its existence date back to the 12th century. The park, chapel, kitchen, vestibule, latrines and library can all be explored on guided tours led by the owner. With the exception of Heritage Days, it can be visited twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May to October.
