This very small village conceals a 12th century church whose original (listed) door has very rare door leaves and fittings. It became the "Temple of Reason" in 1793, and was the site of the new cult desired by Robespierre. It has since recovered its original functions and its bell tower was equipped with a cockerel carrying tastevin in 1961. Its pretty wash-house (long a famous place of pilgrimage) was nicknamed the "Temple of Medievalism" to match the other temple in the village, proof if proof were needed that the locals were not fooled by the Revolutions!
