Beaumont-lès-Valence is one of the fastest-growing towns in the surrounding Valence area, with a population of almost 3,700 today, compared with just 1,000 in 1950. The town center has preserved the vestiges of a long history, including a 14th-century fortified gateway with a clock and a bell tower, as well as a tower from the time when the town had its own ramparts. Last but not least, an imposing "temple church" symbolizing... ecumenism, with its distinctive architecture marked by the Wars of Religion and the Revolution. From here, the D538A continues to Valence, which you enter via Rue Faventines.
