Overlooking the Rhone valley, the small town of Étoile-sur-Rhône is a really charming village made of light-colored stones, from a golden Miocene sandstone, superb in the setting sun. Off the road from Valence to Crest, Étoile-sur-Rhône is sometimes forgotten, and that's a shame! This charming little town, whose old center is remarkably preserved and enhanced, takes its name from its geographical position, at the crossroads between the roads leading to the Crestois hills and the Diois mountains, the Rhone valley, Valence and the Ardèche. The recent Étoile Park 26 leisure center adds to its attractiveness.
