The word "volonteux", which is that of this neighbourhood on the edge of the D 538 between Montmeyran and Beaumont-lès-Valencia, means "full of goodwill". Since 2011, these "men of good will" (as well as the title of a literary series of Jules Romans) have succeeded in creating a place but also a way of producing and selling by respecting the fauna, flora and land. Grouped in Scop (cooperative and participatory society sharing the means of production), they permit the supply of daily organic products in the majority of products: fruits and vegetables, meat (pork, beef, chicken, lamb…), dairy milk (milk, butter, cheese, cream, yoghurt…). The grocery store also offers all kinds of food: prepared dishes on the farm, bread, beer, wine, honey, biscuits, jams, flour, and even cosmetics. But it is not only sale: our valiant farmers have created "Croqu'fields", to buy a basket with a dish of the day. There's for all tastes, at low prices. Finally, the structure nicely named "Roulettes vegetables" allows home deliveries. Everyone has their own account in this Eden where horses replace tractors and where beetles and bees are stronger than fertilizers. An extraordinary garden that would have enchanted Charles Trenet.
