From the Gallo-Roman era, traces of dwellings can be found, but it is in the 6th century that Saint-Thomé is mentioned for the first time. A stone's throw from the Rhone valley and the Drôme department, it is a small marvel of a village perched on its rocky outcrop with its houses grouped around the Romanesque church of Saint-Thomas which gave its name to the village. The site offers sumptuous panoramas and a preserved nature. In the heart of the "vignobles et découvertes" label, in a landscape of vines, oaks and other Mediterranean species, Saint-Thomé is located at the confluence of three rivers: the Dardaillon, the Nègue, the Escoutay.
