Poudenas is a pretty little village built on the southern side of a hill. Its castle, built in the 13th century by the lords of Poudenas, vassals of Edward I Plantagenet, overhangs the valley of the Gélise by 50 meters. And to the north: the Landes forest extends. Modified in the 16th century, the castle was totally transformed in the 17th century, in the image of Italian palaces. Thus, arcades and terraces punctuate the southern facade and the inner courtyard. Stroll through its magnificent wooded park. The XIIIth-XIVth century church and its bell tower, the mill: everything contributes to delight the walker who could imagine himself straight from Tuscany...
