From the very beginning of its existence, this village, populated since prehistoric times, was dedicated to farming. In the Middle Ages, a village developed above the Baïse valley. At the end of the Wars of Religion, the wine growers extended their dwellings. In the 19th century, the Buzéquais developed the village by building a town hall, a presbytery and a church. In addition to agriculture, Buzet also has a milling activity: one of its mills was transformed into a pencil factory after the First World War until the 1960s. Wine and wine growing remain the main activity of Buzet and contribute to its dynamism.
