Beautiful hamlets are scattered throughout the commune. To the south, at the bottom of a lost valley, lies Malbosc, an admirable village. Remains of the castle walls surround the ancient Romanesque seigniorial chapel, which has been altered over the centuries. Recently, a uranium deposit was mined in the commune, leaving its mark on the landscape. But the region's subsoil has been mined since ancient times, and faults indicate the presence of seams. Les Bondons is best known for its menhirs: with 200 standing stones, the commune boasts one of the largest concentrations of megaliths in France.
