Following the gorges road or coming from the Canourgue, the visitor suddenly comes to this small medieval village. If you come from the south, you can admire it, sometimes to the left, sometimes to the right, along the winding descent on the valley side. It is a strategic place, and little remains of the defensive works. In the 17th century, after the Wars of Religion, a charming manor house with turrets was built there, now converted into a hotel. Beautiful Romanesque church with a narrow nave and three vaulted bays. The chapel was added in the 19th century to receive the remains of 18 royalist Malays shot by the revolutionaries in 1793.
