Gabriac is one of Lozère's southernmost communes. With just over a hundred inhabitants, it enjoys the charm of the countryside. The Gabriac trail lets you explore the hamlets that make up the village. The 8.5 km route (average 3.5 hrs walk) gives a good overview of what is known here as agropastoralism. From the village school, step by step you'll come across ancient silkworm nurseries, chestnut groves and mulberry trees, bearing witness to the activities that once dominated here. On the Toureille rock, between Gabriac and Falguière, the remains of troglodytic dwellings can still be seen.
